What are SMS Based Services?
SMS Based Services comprise all services based on SMS as a communication medium. SMS offers direct interaction with the consumer. SMS can for example be used for games in which the correct answer has to be sent by SMS, or to inform people about the outcome of sports events or about disasters, or to cast votes for a favourite artist. SMS is supported by all telephones and is therefore a communication medium that can be used anywhere.
Why SMS Based Services?
Thanks to the low-threshold and wide usability of SMS, it has over the last few years become a powerful tool as a primary or supporting communication medium for many parties in a variety of sectors. A multitude of SMS-based applications have been developed. Premium SMS services, such as for example where the end-user makes small payments for a service via SMS, have proved to be a significant source of income for mobile operators and content providers over the last three years. Apart from the possibilities as an income source, it has proved to be an effective tool to reach consumers.
Why Comsys SMS Based Services?
Comsys has already acquired many years of experience in the delivery of solutions and applications in telecom and media. In the last few years, SMS has acquired an important status as a mobile telephony component. Comsys offers the power of combining various communication media. With Comsys, you not only have an 'SMS-Based Service', but also a total solution for communication/interaction with the end user. For example, we can offer a combined solution, in which large and small disasters can be effectively notified along with provision of feedback from recipients via SMS, or through computerised calls via an IVR application. For more information about this, read about an actual client case: Case HTM. Another example is the communication of ‘breaking news’ via SMS with the possibility of directly viewing the relevant video via mobile internet by simply clicking on a link.
